Not at all. You may have something in the back of your wardrobe that still has the tags on that you have bought and have never worn. If you would like to bring items like this to the swish you are more than welcome. More often ladies bring along items they have worn a few times and then fallen out of love with them. The important things are that the item is clean and of good quality – something you’d be proud to see someone else enjoy.
If you are entering the Swish you need to bring at least three items - maximum 5. You will be swop the same number of swishing tokens as items to be entered into the Swish.
If you have enough swishing tokens left at the end of the evening and you would like to take your own items back then you are more than welcome. In reality there is very little left at the end of the swish and you are more likely to have ‘spent’ your swishing tokens on some lovely new items for your wardrobe.
Leftover items are donated to a chosen charity to sell in their stores or on their e-bay shops. Swish North East never profits from your left over items and the chosen charity will be clearly displayed at the event.
The whole point of the event is to swap some of your unwanted items of clothing for new ones that you will love. If , however, you’ve already had a clearout and have nothing you’d like to bring to the swish, you are more than welcome to still attend. There is plenty to do at the event for the non-swishing lady including retailers, exhibitors and guest speakersl.
Please remember to bring your items on hangers but other than that – have fun!
If you´d like to go home with something fabulous........ bring something fabulous to Swish
In the interest of all our Swishers - please do not be offended if your items do not make it into the Swish
